Vocations Night at St. Matthew

Vocations Night will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Flint. The evening is built around a simple invitation: discern, pray, and follow. Whether you're seriously weighing a call to the priesthood or religious life, supporting someone who is, or simply curious about what God might be asking of you, there's a place for you here.

The evening will include talks to help you discover God's plan for your life, vocation stories from those who have said "yes" to His call, and a Q&A panel where you can ask honest questions and hear honest answers from priests and sisters. We'll also set aside time for prayer and adoration, because discernment begins and ends before the Lord. Dinner will be provided, so come hungry and stay for the whole evening.

This night is especially for our high school and college-aged parishioners, but it's truly for the whole parish family. Parents, grandparents, godparents, and friends are all warmly welcome. The most important vocations often take root because someone took the time to invite, to encourage, and to pray.

So consider this your invitation. Mark Tuesday, July 14 on your calendar, bring a young person you love, and come and see what God has in store.

To learn more or let us know you're coming, contact the parish office. We can't wait to see you there.
