Chili Rules:

Chili must be homemade, no store bought chili!  Use your favorite recipe, with or without meat, with or without beans. Pre-cooked beans are okay. Chili should be brought already cooked and ready to eat. A minimum of 2 quarts of Chili is required for each entry. Each contestant is responsible for bringing something to maintain the temperature of their chili. The entry fee is $20 per chili entered. Contestants may enter more than one type of chili. 

 

Judging:

There will be 1st place and a runner-up- judged by the people! Prizes will be a $150 gift card for 1st place and a $75 gift card for the runner-up. The chilis will be judged on aroma, taste, and visual appeal.  

 

Schedule: 

Doors will open at 5:30 for setup. Tasting is from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Winners will be announced at 8:00 pm.

 

Bring your $20 entry fee to the St. Matthew Parish Offices, or upon arrival on November 5th.
