2010:
Aug. 14 – Pizza and Planning Session for Youth Events 2010-11 – Done, thanks!

Aug. 28 – 1- 3 PM, Mini-Golf at King Par, G-5140 Flushing Road, Flushing
MEET THERE at 1 PM; play 2 games; done about 3 PM; cost = $10.00 ($5 per game) This is Crim Race Day; if you are coming from anywhere south of Flint, take I-475 to the R.T. Longway Blvd exit; turn left at the second light and follow the main road to King Par. [Without turning, Longway BECOMES Fifth Avenue, which later BECOMES Flushing Road.]
Sept. 11 – Pray for Life at the abortion site, 2032 S. Saginaw St., Flint
MEET THERE at 1 PM; park in the empty lot across Saginaw Street; pray from 1-2 PM.
Sunday, Sept. 19 – 5:30-8 PM, Regional Youth Event at Holy Redeemer, Bristol at Grand Traverse
$5 person MEET at 6 PM THERE in the parking lot; go inside together for a social time with pizza,
games, praise and worship, scripture-reflection-witness presentation, closing prayer.

Oct. 9 – Repair a home with Salem Housing Task Force, 3216 M.L. King (near Pasadena)
Meet at Salem’s address at 8:30 AM; travel to assigned house; work until 3:00 PM.
Oct. 23 – 6:15-8:30 PM, Bowling at Town & Country Lanes, G-3282 Miller Road, Flint
Leave church after 4:30 Mass; bowl 2 games beginning at 6:15 PM; eat at Arby’s; return to church about 8:30 PM. Cost = meal + $14.00 for bowling (2 games + shoes)
Nov. 6 – Make Rosaries for the Missions, 2:30-4:15 PM, then participate in 4:30 Mass together
Gather at 2:30 PM in the lower level of the church; make rosaries for the Augustinian Missions in Peru (all materials and instructions will be provided); 4:30 Mass; done about 5:30 PM
Nov. 20 – 9 AM – 12 Noon, Help at Food Bank, 2310 Lapeer Road, Flint (Wear grubby clothes)
MEET at 9:00 AM THERE to help sort food (canned goods, etc.); done by Noon
Dec. 4 – Movie Night at the Cramer’s Home, 6332 Knob Hill Court, Grand Blanc MEET THERE
Begin at 6:00 PM with pizza and pop dinner, watch movie, eat popcorn, done by 10:00 PM
Dec. 18 – 1:15-4:00 PM, Help with Christmas Party for Lafayette Park Residents in Parish Center
1:15 PM—set up in field house lower level; 2 to 4 PM—Party; 4 PM—clean up; 4:30 PM—Mass
2011:
Jan. 8 – Pizza Party and Game Night in the Youth Room after 4:30 Mass -- 5:30-8:30 PM
Bring your appetite and your favorite interactive board game
Saturday & Sunday, Jan. 22 & 23 – Fundraiser for “Kids to Kids” after Each Weekend Mass
Need 6 volunteersto each bake 2 doz.brownies and wrap individual 2 in. x 2 in. pieces
Need 9 volunteers to be at Masses (3 per Mass)requesting donations for brownies
Feb. 5 – Serve at the North End Soup Kitchen [WEAR a BASEBALL CAP or OTHER HAT] -- 9:00 AM meet at the Soup Kitchen, 735 E. Stewart Ave (near corner of N. Saginaw), Flint -- 9:00-set up, prepare meal; 11:05-eat lunch; 11:30-serve meal; 12:30-clean up; 1:00-leave.
DO NOT WEAR shorts, tank tops, sleeveless tops, sandals or open-toed shoes.
Sunday, Feb. 20– 5:00-8:30 PM, HOST Regional Youth Event in St. Matthew in Field House
Gather at 5:00 PM in the field house to choose assignments (name tag printer, guest greeter,pour pop for the meal); greet guests, print tags, pour pop; join in the meal, praise and worship, games, witness presentation, closing prayer; stay to help clean afterward; done by 8:30 PM.
Mar. 5 – “Ask the Pastor” and Have Dinner with Him after 4:30 Mass, 5:30-7:30 PM
Have dinner with Fr. Fred and ask him anything about God, the church, life, eternity, etc.
Sunday, Mar. 20 – 5:30-8 PM, Regional Youth Event at St. Mary School, 11208 N. Saginaw, Mt. Morris $5 person
MEET at 5:30 PM THERE in the parking lot; go inside for a social time with pizza, games, praise and worship, scripture-reflection-witness presentation, closing prayer
Apr. 3 – Youth Group’s hosts (and cleans up after) donuts and beverages after 11:30 Mass
Other parish groups have done this since October, and now it’s our turn!
Apr. 9 – Hiking through For-Mar Nature Preserve, 2142 N. Genesee Road, Burton
MEET at 1:00 PM THERE in the parking lot; hike for 2 hours; leave at 3:00 PM
Friday, Apr. 29, to Sunday, May 1 – St. Matthew Parish Mission

Sunday, June 5 –High School Graduates recognized during 11:30 AM Mass
June 11 – “Kidnap a Friend” and Bring Them to Game Night in the Youth Room after 4:30 Mass
5:30-8:30 PM, Bring a friend, your pizza-appetite, and your favorite interactive board game
June 20-24: Help with Vacation Bible School for 4-8 year olds at the parish
Assist with music, crafts, snacks, games -- Mon.-Fri., 9:30am-12:10pm, in Parish Center
Wednesday, June 29 – Lansing Diocesan Youth Day at Cedar Point
--We travel with St. John, Fenton -- Special permission paper needed; contact Parish Office
